DYOR, I’m dumb and you will probably get better results index investing (like a coward). If you want to pick stocks like a winner, please join eToro with this link
Stonks I currently own
$META – I should have hodled but we’ll lick em’ tomorrow. The current multiple seems a bit high but I’m sure Zuck will make me regret doubting him again.
$PYPL – Apple Pay, Stripe, Square, Wise, blah blah blah. PayPal is still #1 in online payments and whilst it may not be in 10 years, there’s plenty of juice left in it at these prices.
$AMRK – Kicking myself for not buying more before it jumped 20% yesterday but the price is still fair. They should benefit from higher gold prices and increased paranoia in a US election year.
$WBD – What good is a product that has become a verb if you don’t have gabagool? Until Netflix make something better than the Sopranos I think that the combined Warner Bros/HBO catalog on Max will close the the market cap gap. I am reluctant to buy too much because they are haemorrhaging money and the CEO has made some questionable calls.
$UA – Profitable and trading at a lowish P/E. Freedom lovers are going to get reshored factory jobs as lululemon wearing bougies lose theirs to AI. I love the return of the former University of Maryland special teams captain turned founder, Kevin Plank.
$EC – Spicy given the Chávez admiring, ex-communist guerrilla president but I have faith in Colombian capitalism. I bought it a day before the ex dividend date at an average cost of $12.76 and I will get $1.60 in dividends in the next three months. I will try to squeeze 10-20% out of it and then sell.
$BTI – Low P/E, 9% dividends, and growth potential from cannabis and other new categories. How morally questionable is supplying the demand of consenting adults?
$PFE – Viagra, Zoloft, 6% dividends what more do you want? Myocarditis? Down 30% but I am reluctant to sell given that it’s trading lower than its pre pandemic price. I would buy more but I am already overexposed.
$VFC – Down 35% and they cut the dividend that initially attracted me. I should probably cut my losses and buy more Under Armour.
Stonks I’m looking at but don’t currently own…
$CIB – Largest bank in Colombia with a 9% dividend. The same political risk as Ecopetrol and some forex risk given the strong peso (I think?) but I have faith in Colombian capitalism.
$TLRY – I made some money day trading it with the Kamala comments/German legalization but I don’t know about holding long term. I think cannabis drinks, gummies, etc will be more defensible than flowers and Tilray is a market leader in those categories.
$SE – I made some money trading this in the 30s and 40s but I should have held some. Southeast Asia is a good growth market and I love that they own sea.com
$DKNG – I like Draftkings’ long term prospects but I don’t know about the current price.
$BABA – Relatively cheap and people will get over the China pessimism in the short term (allowing you to cash out and buy a bunker for the long term).
